What is Morton's List

Learn the basics of the game

The simplest explanation is that Morton's List is a large list of activities with a randomized selection method using a set of six sided dice and a single 30 sided die. The game is much more than that and can be hard to explain to the uninitiated because as soon as the Morton's List player starts talking about the game they get excited and want to share the infinite potential for adventure, self development and fulfilment which scares off the normie. Most people want to consume product then get excited for other product. The threat of shifting their narrow view of the universe even a little bit sends them into panic and their brain shuts down. They only heard how one time you did THIS AWESOME THING and they start coughing up reasons why they don't want to or can't do AWESOME THING. In your excitement the normie didn't catch that they're just as likely to roll a quest that involves doing Sudoku puzzles or learning how to change a tire. I believe I've come to the realization that the best way to show someone what the game is is to simply roll a quest with them. There is no short explanation and the more enthusiastic you are the more scared off the newcome will be. At least that has been my experience.
